Your future role within QRT includes: As a Hybrid EUC & Windows Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure and Productivity Team, responsible for designing, building, and supporting both Microsoft Windows Server / virtualization infrastructure and core End User Computing (EUC) services. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the core IT services that underpin research technology, trading platforms, market execution, and data processing, as well as providing efficient and secure end-user experience. Attending to the windows server and core infrastructure: Build, manage, and deploy Windows Server environments (2016-2025). Design, deploy, and support a globally distributed, multi-forest Active Directory environment. Configure and manage core AD services including DNS, replication, trust, and integration with Entra ID. Manage user lifecycle processes within Active Directory, including provisioning, access controls, deprovision, and security. Automate AD user/group management and on/off board tasks. Troubleshoot complex AD authentication, Kerberos, NTLM, and group membership issues Support infrastructure-as-code and configuration automation using PowerShell with Ansible and Terraform and PowerShell Build and manage VMware ESXi infrastructure, clustering, and virtualization Optimize and troubleshoot server backups using Veeam Configuring monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Splunk) to ensure data protection and compliance. Work with SAN/NAS storage to ensure high availability. Support and act as 2nd and 3rd Level escalation for Windows Server and related infrastructure issues. Infrastructure & EUC job function further in detail: Engineer, build and optimize Windows 10/11 desktop environments across physical and virtual platforms. Support and optimize Citrix DaaS / VDI environments, including image management, GPO optimization and user experience tuning. Optimize and manage Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Windows and Microsoft 365 services for secure and consistent user experience. Develop advanced PowerShell scripts to automate endpoint/device build, software deployment, patch validation, and compliance reporting. Provides escalation support EUC incidents affecting business-critical users, including performance, application compatibility, device compliance, and authentication. Design and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce configuration, security and compliance. Endpoint lifecycle processes including provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, and decommissioning. Manage endpoint security/certificate and compliance (BitLocker, Intune, / Intune hybrid environments). Build and implement health-check scripts for endpoint compliance, patch levels, BitLocker status, and device posture. Troubleshoot profile management, FSLogix, login performance, and policy conflicts. Drive standardisation across Windows Server builds, endpoints, GPOs, and Citrix. Maintain technical documentation and support. Provide cross-functional collaboration across infrastructure, network, storage, security. Ideal candidate skillset Extensive experience in design, implementation and support of Windows Server and Active Directory. Strong hands-on skills with Active Directory, GPO creation, DNS, replication and identity. Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for server/EUC automatic Automation, GPO. Windows 10/11 enterprise build, hardening, lifecycle management. Experience managing, supporting, administrating AD, Entra ID/Intune/Identity, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD/Entra ID. Experience in Citrix DaaS/VDI. Experience with VMware VCenter, ESXi, clustering and virtualization. Experience with backup tools such as Veeam. Strong knowledge and understanding of network fundamentals, PKI/IT & IR infrastructure security. Strong troubleshooting skills across, server, endpoint, identity, and virtual desktops.
