We are looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager to serve as the dedicated technology advisor and delivery lead for all office build outs, expansions, renovations, and relocation projects. You will be the primary technology consultant for all new office build-outs and expansions. You’ll define the technology vision for our spaces, translate business needs into technical specifications, and orchestrate the external IT vendors who bring that vision to life. You’ll be the subject matter expert at the table, interfacing with general contractors, external technology and our managed service provider to ensure the built environment supports the technology plan. Your deep expertise will be in handling technical specifications and executing projects with focus on communications rooms and office infrastructure. Your future role within QRT Technology Consulting Serve as the in-house technology consultant to internal stakeholders (Facilities, IT, Business Units), advising on workplace technology standards, emerging trends, and optimal solutions for each new office location. Facilitate technology programming workshops to gather requirements: collaboration needs, headcount per zone, security zones, IoT aspirations. Translate these business requirements into technical scopes, and vendor-ready statements of work for: Structured cabling (copper and fiber backbone) Network infrastructure (LAN specifications, wireless access points, internet circuits) Collaboration systems (conference rooms, huddle spaces, digital signage, room booking panels) Project Leadership & Vendor Orchestration Own the full lifecycle of technology delivery for office build-outs and expansions: from initial design through installation, testing, and occupancy handover. Build detailed project plans, budgets, and risk registers for the technology workstream. Manage external technology vendors and integrators—low-voltage cablers, AV installers, IT service providers. Negotiate scopes of work, drive competitive pricing, and hold vendors to performance standards. Act as the primary technology point of contact with the general contractor and external vendors to clarify coordination needs. Quality Control & Technical Assurance Ensure technology compliance and quality standards: Define acceptance criteria and lead on-site technology inspections during roughing, switching, and final phases. Validate technical installations with thorough testing and documentation. Maintain attention to detail in labeling, rack connectivity, patch panels, and system documentation. Manage the technology acceptance list and drive vendors to zero-error completion. Standards, Documentation & Continuous Improvement - Develop and iterate on a 'Office Build-outs Technology Playbook' to standardize cabling, AV, and network solutions across projects. - Ensure every project has a comprehensive technical handover: complete drawings, installation files, asset lists, warranties, and operations guides. - Capture feedback and refine standard procedures to make future works smarter and more efficient. Occupancy & Transition to Operations - Plan and lead the technology portion of employee move-in days, ensuring all systems operational and user-ready. - Execute post-occupancy support, resolve initial issues, and ensure smooth transition. Qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 10+ years of experience in technical project management with strong emphasis on office build-outs and workplace technology deployments. Demonstrated expertise and practical knowledge across structured cabling, network design, AV systems, and collaboration solutions. Excellent at translating technical complexity into business value. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence). Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) required or commitment to obtain. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively with pressure.
