2027 Summer Internship – Product Analyst, APAC

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Singapore office. Candidates must be fluent in English to apply to all roles - opportunities also available for Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai Cantonese & Mandarin speakers.

You’re eligible to apply if you:

Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028
Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
On track to achieve a minimum bachelor’s degree
Are business proficient in English. Proficiency in any Asian languages will be a plus

You’ll excel as a Product Analyst if you:

Have an interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment management
Possess a strong analytical skillset with a good understanding of programming languages being a plus
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Have the ability to relay complex ideas clearly
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire to join a fast-paced, high-performance culture
Are results oriented, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
Demonstrate curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes

See yourself as a Product Analyst:

You will work within the Product Strategy Group, a global team of over 130 professionals responsible for financial market expertise (both internally and externally), strategic business management, as well as entrepreneurship and marketing for a wide range of PIMCO product lines. You’ll gain broad exposure to financial markets, product design, development and distribution, portfolio analysis, and/or client communication.

You will work with one or multiple specialty teams that focus on covering specific investment strategies (e.g., Multi-Sector Fixed Income (MSFI), Credit, Emerging Markets, Alternatives, etc.). You’ll gain a strong understanding of the business of investment management across different market segments. Responsibilities vary between teams but may include:

Market and economic updates
Portfolio commentaries
Client portfolio analytics and investment insights
Competitor intelligence
Client presentation materials
Risk and performance attribution

The PIMCO Internship Experience:

The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program
During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success
Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts
Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events!
Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer
You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future ready skills and make an impact from the start
You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

What to expect during the interview:

After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial evaluation
If you are selected to move forward, you will be invited to complete a one-way video interview and assessment
Once you complete the assessment, you will have a final round of live interviews
