About the Role: We build predictive models from big data and develop algorithms to automate trade in many exchanges worldwide. At Jump, you will combine three roles — quant researcher / data scientist, trader, and developer — depending on skills and interest. Our training program teaches you trading, programming, and research, with experts from the firm instructing advanced skills: Trading/Market Mechanics, Statistics, R, Python, C++, Machine Learning, and our research process. You will then build predictive models, leveraging one of the world's largest supercomputers, and test automated trading strategies against global competition. Duties may include additional assignments. Who should apply? Seeking sharpest analytical minds with strong programming and/or quantitative analysis (statistics, mining, math, ML). No prior finance understanding necessary. Given training, reliable and predictable availability needed. We value Computer Science and Math training, but welcome achievers from any technical disciplines—fields like Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Neuroscience, Materials Science, and Operations Research.
